Having released SPOOKY, followed by STORMY and then TRACES, it’s hard to believe that Dennis Yost and the Classics IV only scored one GOLD record, which is this one - Stormy.
It was released in September, 1968 and certified GOLD by RIAA (Recording industry Association of America) on February 27, 1969. It seems all three were consistently playing on those good ol’ AM rock stations. Stormy was well received not only on the Billboard Hot 100 chart but also on their Easy Listening music chart.
With a few more songs on the charts these three primary ones formed a trio of solid hits for the band.
